FAQs

To help you plan your day out at the House, we have compiled a list of our most frequently asked visitor questions. If you have a question which is not answered here, please call our general enquiries line on 01702 549623, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays).

 

Can I book my tickets online? 
Tickets can be booked in advance on our website by clicking here. Alternatively you can purchase tickets on the day of the show at our Box Office, which will be situated at the entrance to the show. However we advise booking tickets in advance to take advantage of the discounted pre-booking rate as tickets on the gate will be subject to availability. For full ticket prices click here.
 
I’m having problems with my ticket booking – what should I do?
If you have a ticket enquiry, please email support@yourticketbooking.com or call 0844 7766 777. Lines are open Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm excluding Bank Holidays. Calls are charged at 7p per minute plus any network charges from your supplier. On show days, please call the customer support number on 0344 7766 777.  Lines will be open from 8am to 11am on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2019. 
 
I’ve booked the wrong date on my tickets! Can I amend the booking?
There’s no need to amend your booking. Your tickets will be valid to use on any day of the National Flower Show regardless of the date on them. But please note that tickets can only be used once and are non transferable to another show.
 
I don’t have access to a printer and/or can’t print my tickets – can I still come to the show?
Ideally we prefer all of our customers to print their tickets, but if you are unable to print the tickets, we do also accept viewing on smartphones. 
 
Do you offer group ticket rates?
Yes, special group rates are available for parties of eight or more. Please call Emma on 07817 628548 to book or click here for more details.
 
Do you have a concession for carers?
Yes, we offer free entry for carers. You will need to book tickets for everyone else in your group but the carer/s will receive complimentary entry. Just let the team on the gate know and they will arrange entry.
 
I can no longer attend – can I get a refund?
We’re sorry if you can’t join us but all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
 
I can’t find my ticket confirmation email – what should I do?
Sometimes our ticket confirmation emails end up in people’s junk mail (we try not to take it personally). Follow this link to the ticket booking page, then click on ‘More Information’. There should be an option to ‘Resend My Email’. Click this and your tickets should be resent through to you. For further assistance, please email support@yourticketbooking.com or call 0844 7766 777. Lines are open Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm excluding Bank Holidays. Calls are charged at 7p per minute plus any network charges from your supplier.
 
Is there an additional charge for parking?
No, parking at Hylands House is free for visitors. There are plenty of car parking spaces available, some hard-standing and the remainder on grass.
 
How far is the car park from the House entrance?
The main car park is between five minute walk to the House entrance.
 
Are there parking facilities for those who need accessibility?
Yes. The spaces are as close as possible to the House entrance. Please ask staff on arrival and they will direct you to these spaces. More information on accessibility at Hylands House can be attained from General Enquiries on 01245 605500.
 
Does the show take place inside or outside?
The National Flower Show takes place both inside Hylands House and outside on Hylands Estate (behind the house). There will also be several undercover areas including the Floral Pavilion, the Craft & Gift Pavilion and the Fine Food & Drink Pavilion.
 
What’s the ground like?
The ground that the show will be taking place on is fairly flat, however please be advised that the show does take place on grass and there is a slight incline.
 
Are dogs allowed in the grounds?
Dogs on leads are allowed in the extensive parkland around the House, but not in the House itself. Guide dogs for the blind or for the hard of hearing are, however, welcome in all areas. Please respect our surroundings and pick up any waste after your dog and dispose of it in the dog litter bins that are situated in various places around the park.
 
Is picnicking allowed?
Yes, you are welcome to picnic in any public areas of the Park.
 
Will food be available at the show?
Yes, there will be an array of stands selling a selection of food and refreshments in our Village Green area.
 
Can I enter the Show more than once during my visit?
Yes, we will issue hand stamps for anyone wishing to return throughout the day of their visit.
 
Will Carol Klein be at the show for all three days?
Carol Klein will only be appearing at The National Flower Show on Friday 17th May to officially open the show at 10am and take part in Q&A sessions at the Garden Talks Theatre.
